MEMBERS FOR CHURCH ACCOUNTABILITY
Newsletter -- Spring, 2010

Over the last 12 months Members for Church Accountability (MCA) has been investigating the involvement of the General Conference of the SDA Church in LifePoint, Inc. This small start-up company was incorporated in Delaware, but located in Ontario, California. The General Conference (GC) was the major stockholder with over 9,000,000 shares. More alarming is the fact that the GC extended LifePoint a $10,000,000 line of credit. One cannot help but wonder if there was a personal connection between the LifePoint officers and the investment staff at the GC. The correspondence reveals “the vast majority of funds are managed by outside managers.”

The story and series of letters exchanged between MCA and the GC, the first on July 31, 2009 and the last February 9, 2010, is posted on the MCA web site: www.advmca.org.
